John Pawson created this installation in St Paul’s Cathedral. He placed a 400mm wide meniscus, that took Swarovski 4 months to manufacture and is their biggest to date, at the foot of the spiral staircase. When you look into the meniscus, a spherical concave mirror hanging above reflects the view from the top of the stairs. This gives a new perspective of the helix-like staircase.
